Updated Publication

Publication PA-502: Assessment and Tax Roll Instructions for Clerks has been posted to the Department of Revenue website.

This publication provides information about the overall assessment roll process, including important dates and requirements. It is updated for the 2013 tax year.

The private forest croplands and managed forest lands tax rates have changed effective for 2013. All electronic forms will be updated accordingly. To ensure you're accessing the most updated information throughout the year, please use our e-file forms.

Statement of Assessment (SOA)

The 2013 Statement of Assessment has been posted to our website. This form is a summary of each district's assessed value (real and personal property), including parcel counts and acreage of exempt real property. It must be electronically filed by June 10 (second Monday in June) or after your Board of Review. This form is no longer mailed; please contact us if you have any questions.

You may also submit the 2013 Statement of Assessment in a text file format using our file transfer option. More information is available on our file transfer page.

If your real property lister is submitting your municipality's SOA, you do not need to submit an additional assessment report.

Financial Report Reminder

The 2012 County and Municipal Financial Reports are due by May 15, 2013. This is a final extended due date and no additional extension is provided. Penalties (such as aid reductions) will be applied to all late reports.
