Temporary Event Reporting Data File Transmission
- Do I need a personal identification number (PIN) or password to transfer my file?
- Is data transmitted over the Internet encrypted or otherwise protected?
- Is any confirmation receipt sent after I upload a temporary event file?
- Do I need to submit copies of the paper Form S-240, Wisconsin Temporary Event Operator and Seller Information, if I submit the vendor information electronically?
- Do I need a personal identification number (PIN) or password to transfer my file?
No. A PIN, password, or pre-registration is not required.
- Is data transmitted over the Internet encrypted or otherwise protected?
The file is posted via HTTPS to a web server and the data is protected with SSL 128-bit encryption. This is the same standard used for Internet financial transactions.
- Is any confirmation receipt sent after I upload a temporary event file?
You will receive a notice that the file transferred successfully ("OK Transfer Complete") along with a confirmation number and time stamp showing when the file was received. There is not an email confirmation. Print a copy of this screen for your records.
- Do I need to submit copies of the paper Form S-240, Wisconsin Temporary Event Operator and Seller Information, if I submit the vendor information electronically?
No. Information transmitted electronically should not be duplicated by paper submission.
